Embarrassed about your thinning grass?
Have no fear, with TEKK’s sure fire fat grass recipe, your lawn will be green, thick, lush and the talk of the town!
Here is what you’ll need (covers 800-1000 sq. ft.):
- 5 1/2 cu. ft. of compressed peat moss
- 4 cu. ft. vermiculite
- 2 kg bag 7-21-7 fertilizer
- 1-2 kg grass seed
- shovel
- garden hose
- garden rake
- fertilizer applicator
Here is the method:
You should prepare the mixture on a hard surface like your driveway or sidewalk.
Add the vermiculite on top of the peat moss. Thoroughly mix the pile with a shovel while continuously adding water (you should be able to squeeze water out of the mixture). This process will take approximately 10 – 15 minutes.
Roughly spread the mixture on the lawn using a shovel.
Then evenly spread out the mixture in a 1/2″ thick layer, with the flat side of a rake.
Apply the fertilizer evenly over the are using a fertilizer applicator or by hand.
Thinly spread grass seed over the fertilizer by hand or with a rotary fertilizer dispenser.
Water the lawn once a day for the first two weeks, then twice per week. After one month, resume your regular watering schedule.
In 4 – 6 weeks, you’ll be the envy of your neighbourhood with your thick, green lawn!
